Passenger claiming to be a UN diplomat sows discord on Ryanair flight

On January 17, a violent arrest of a passenger on board a low-cost airline Ryanair plane was reported by Hispanic media.

Before Ryanair flight FR2001 took off from Arrefice Airport in Lanzarote, a man identifying himself as a UN diplomat refused to show his boarding ticket to the stewardess, explaining that his ticket was at his friend’s house and that he therefore did not know the number of his seat. He didn’t want to hear anything when she asked him to contact her friend, reports a passenger who witnessed the scene. The passenger walked to the row of seats in the middle of the plane, where the emergency exit is, with more legroom. The flight attendants refused him this seat.
