While Manchester United finally believed they had found good momentum, notably with the draw against Liverpool in the Premier League (2-2, January 5) and the qualification on penalties against Arsenal in the FA Cup (1-1, 5 -3 on the tab), the Red Devils fell again in the Championship, losing at Old Trafford against Brighton (1-3). A setback which brought United back to the reality of a historically disappointing season, and which pushed coach Ruben Amorim to draw up a bitter observation.
