Reggiana missed the boat in the championship this Saturday. Mouhamed Faye and his teammates lost at home against Trieste (81-96) during the 16th day of the Italian Basketball Serie A.
After beating Olimpia Milan a week earlier, Reggiana failed to do it again with another good performance in the league. The Reds and Whites could not exist against Trieste, as evidenced by their significant delay at half-time (33-51).
In the second half, the visitors from Trieste maintained the pace by winning as in the first half, leading at the end of the third quarter (58-76). In the last round, Trieste managed to solidly negotiate its advantage in order to achieve victory given the course of the match. Despite this setback, Mouhamed Faye was very effective on an individual level by scoring 13 points and 2 rebounds. The Reggiana team ranks 8th in the general classification and can still hope to play the quarters.
