The Kolda high court sentenced a 56-year-old man to a one-year prison sentence for identity theft, reports a Radio Senegal correspondent.

According to the source, this individual, who used his cousin’s identity document to obtain a position in the public service, received a salary for five years before being unmasked in October 2023.

“After his arrest and incarceration, he was tried yesterday, Friday,” informs our correspondent.
