Fans of classic cross-country skiing have nothing to be ashamed of their performance. He achieved two top 10s in the Tour de Ski, but also several top 15 finishes in the World Cup. He is currently 46th in the general cross-country skiing World Cup rankings, out of 146 participants. The cross-country skier trains half the time with the French team and the rest near his home, in Les Fourgs, in Haut-Doubs.

“It's innate in me. I've loved it since I was little. I have fun with my friends. From May onwards, we're doing a lot of training. It's very tiring. We're going through difficult times but on the contrary, we have very, very good moments. We experience impressive things as a team when our friends achieve results and I do too sometimes.explains Rémi Bourdin at the microphone of our journalist Marine Candel.

It was at the Frasne Drugeon ski club that Rémi Bourdin followed his first footsteps. It was when I was 7 years old. His father, also a skier, remembers him as a particularly diligent little sportsman. “He marked everything his coach told him”in a notebook he reports.

Sometimes we don't even believe it. When we turn on the and it's on Eurosport we say to ourselves that it's great. We are very fans. The whole village is a big fan.”confides Christophe Bourdin, visibly moved and proud of his son's sporting success. Many of Rémi Bourdin's family and fans will obviously come and give their voice to support him at Les Rousses.
