Elimination, however, was premature for Terence Tchiknavorian, Nicolas Raffort and Romain Mari. The first two will have another chance this Friday (10:30 a.m.) during the second race, not the Isola 2000 skier replaced by Alexis Jay.
Massacre among the ladies
Among the women, the quarter-finals caused damage since four of the first five in the general classification fell by the wayside: Daniela Maier, Marielle Thompson, Marielle Berger Sabbatel and Talina Gantenbein, victim of a heavy fall.
And it was the Canadian India Sherret who took the opportunity to move closer in the general classification thanks to her third place behind Hanna Schmidt and Fanny Smith. As for Jade Grillet Aubert, she took 7th place.
