The deputies of La France insoumise, the communists and the Ecologists tabled a motion of censure against the government of François Bayrou, a few hours after the general policy speech of the Prime Minister, franceinfo learned from LFI.

“The Prime Minister's refusal to seek a vote of confidence from the National Assembly following his general policy declaration is an admission”believe the signatories of the motion of censure. “While the President of the Republic assumes responsibility for appointing a government against the vote of citizens, the Prime Minister intends to govern without the vote of confidence of deputies. We refuse to trivialize this coup, unprecedented among parliamentary democracies.”

The motion of censure was “presented by Mathilde Panot”president of the LFI group of deputies, and “57 of his colleagues”including deputies from the Democratic and Republican Left (GDR) group and the Ecologist and Social group.

“By deciding to take over the budget presented by Michel Barnier, the government is assuming the loss of revenue, blocking any new ambitious tax measures and raising the level of austerity to 50 billion euros. François Bayrou's budget will be the one by Michel Barnier, only worse”we can read in the document.
