A dazzling career at OM

Arrived in the summer of 2022 from the training center, Enzo Sternal wasted no time in getting noticed in the Olympian colors. From his first season, he contributed to the coronation of the U17 team by winning the French Championship. The following year, he added a new trophy to his burgeoning prize list by lifting the prestigious Gambardella Cup. These high-level performances earned him a call-up to the French U18 team, where he quickly rose through the ranks to become a senior member of the selection.

A promising but uncertain future

Despite his young age, Sternal has already had the opportunity to taste the highest level by playing his first two meetings with the OM professional team this season. He came into play during the big victories at Brest (5-1) and (5-0), showing some potential. However, the prospect of joining Anderlechtwhere he was promised more playing time, seems to have convinced him to try this new Belgian adventure. A risky but perhaps wise decision for this emerging talent, under contract with Marseille until 2027.

A departure that makes one cringe

The possible transfer ofEnzo Sternal has Anderlecht will not fail to cause a stir within the Marseille club. After having trained and launched this promising young striker, OM could well see him go abroad from his first steps among professionals. A painful scenario for the Marseille training center, which sometimes struggles to maintain its nuggets in the face of foreign sirens. It remains to be seen whether this departure will be confirmed and what the repercussions will be on the club's training policy.
