The ONMT meets the regions to mobilize professionals

The Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) has started a major tour across the country. This initiative, carried out with the support of the National Tourism Confederation, aims to bring together key players from different regions, to assess their needs and to build a common vision for the development of Moroccan tourism.

The tour began this Friday, January 10 in Marrakech, the emblematic city of Moroccan tourism. The objective is clear, to strengthen dialogue with local professionals and align efforts around opportunities specific to each region. Hoteliers, travel agencies, restaurateurs and transporters are at the heart of the discussions, as are representatives of the Regional Tourism Councils (CRT).

By going directly to the field, the ONMT wishes to better understand the challenges faced by local stakeholders and collect concrete proposals to respond to them. An approach which highlights the need for close collaboration between the Office and regional operators.

Actions adapted to local realities

During this tour, the ONMT presents its strategic orientations and details the actions planned for each region. The idea is to build a roadmap adapted to the diversity of Moroccan territories, taking into account their specificities and their potential.

It is also a question of targeted marketing, commercial initiatives and measures aimed at improving the attractiveness of each region on an international level.

A lever for a sustainable recovery

This tour comes against a backdrop of rapid recovery in global tourism. Morocco, thanks to its cultural heritage, its unique landscapes and its recognized hospitality, attracts more and more visitors. However, the challenge remains to ensure balanced growth that benefits all regions, and not just the most popular destinations.

By placing local professionals at the center of its strategy, the ONMT aims to create a collective dynamic. Each meeting is an opportunity to take a precise inventory, identify strengths and weaknesses, and propose concrete solutions to maximize the economic and social benefits of the sector.

A driving role for the regions

The ONMT’s approach is not limited to simple dialogue. It aims to position the regions as drivers of Moroccan tourism. Each stage of the tour emphasizes local specificities, whether culture, gastronomy, or even outdoor activities.

This initiative, welcomed by professionals in the sector, shows that tourism development can only be achieved by taking into account local realities and promoting the assets specific to each region.

With this national tour, the ONMT is not just promoting the Morocco destination. It establishes the foundations for sustainable and inclusive growth, while bringing together energies to make tourism a real lever of development for the entire Kingdom.
