Frenchman Clément Noël won the Adelboden slalom. Third in the first round in the morning, he benefited from the further elimination of the Austrian Manuel Feller, who had set the best time on the first track.
Noël finally beat the Brazilian of Norwegian origin Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, 2nd at 15 hundredths, and the Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen, 3rd at 17 hundredths.
Twentieth in the first round, Geneva’s Tanguy Nef (28 years old) gained twelve places on the second route to finish in eighth place, 1”58 behind the winner. Vaudois Marc Rochat also made a great comeback, going from 23rd to tenth (+1”70). On the other hand, the Valaisan Daniel Yule regressed at the start of the afternoon: tenth in the morning, he finally took twelfth place, 1”93 from Christmas. Luca Aerni from Fribourg, for his part, finished in twentieth place, with a delay of 2”55.
-The Valaisan Loïc Meillard, who remained in two second places at Alta Badia and Madonna di Campiglio, got on in the first round, just like the Haut-Valaisan Ramon Zenhäusern.
“It’s always a shame to be eliminated, but it hurts even more here in Adelboden,” Meillard commented in front of the RTS camera. This season, everything has worked well so far, but unfortunately a little less today.”
