The Stib expects significant disruptions on its network on Monday January 13, due to the day of joint union front action organized on the issue of pensions, it warns on Tuesday in a press release. The public transport company invites users to plan alternative solutions for their travel in Brussels.
“The Stib unions invite their affiliates to participate in the national union action organized this Monday, January 13. Major disruptions are expected on the Stib metro, tram and bus network due to the participation of members of its staff in this action“, underlines the company.
The Brussels public transport company will do everything possible to ensure at least part of the service and will inform its travelers in real time of the situation on its network. They are invited to obtain information via the Stib website, its mobile application, screens at stops and social networks. Stib Customer Care will also be available from 6:00 a.m. this Monday, January 13 to answer questions asked on social media as well as by telephone at 070/23 20 00.
Floya, the Stib multimobility application, will offer adapted routes depending on the lines that will run. It will also make it possible to find an alternative route using bicycles, scooters, taxis and shared cars.
