Seattle Seahawks first-year player Byron Murphy II saw his life flash before his eyes when his teammates presented him with the bill for their team dinner.
This week, several NFL club players had a good time at a gourmet restaurant in Bellevue, Washington. A bill for the astronomical amount of $155,788.77 was then handed to the 22-year-old defensive tackle.

His reaction was filmed and shared on social media by teammate Uchenna Nwosu.
Luckily for Murphy II, the bill was wrong. Let’s just say that the acting of the Seahawks veterans was quite convincing. The young man saw nothing but fire.
The real amount that the recruit had to pay was instead $38,015.82. Which is not nothing, but still much less imposing than what he initially imagined he would have to pay.
Murphy II is a first round pick (16e overall) from the last NFL draft. He signed a four-year contract worth a total of $16 million.
