The mayor of announced this Saturday, January 4 that he was alerting the public prosecutor after discovering a video published by a Montpellier resident who called for murder, on the social network X.

“Incitement to hatred is an offense, as such, there is no doubt about this video, I am making a report under article 40 of the Penal Code to the judicial authority of Montpellier.”

Mayor Michaël Delafosse reacted on the social network X after being informed that a video calling for acts of torture and murder had been posted by an Algerian influencer residing in Montpellier.

According to an Algerian political activist who took refuge in , who first reported the video, it was posted by a Montpellier resident with the nickname “doualemn”, nicknamed “Ami (tonton) Boualem” and “followed by 138,000 people on Tiktok, targeted all those who wanted to demonstrate on January 1st against the Algerian regime (and in particular) a young activist he wants dead because someone named Cohen shared his video.”

Two influencers recently arrested in France

Comments which follow the arrest of two influencers, Zazouyoussef and Imadtintin, arrested in France for advocating terrorism or death threats.

“Intolerable”reacted in turn Fanny Dombre-Coste, deputy for the 3rd district of Hérault. “The authorities must act and quickly. No tolerance. No impunity. The response must be firm and rapid.”
