The American platform's communication services have mastered their art too well for us to believe it was an error. A precise launch date for the next round of episodes has however been published by Netflix Korea.
Difficult to believe in an error as the streaming giant controls its schedules and its communication. However, it seems that a small blunder committed on the side of the land of morning calm resulted in the revelation of the date of putting season 3 online, at least at the local level, of Squid Game almost the biggest serial event of all time with 68 million views for season 2 in barely a week.
In the wake of the first trailer for the latest burst of episodes of the survivalist phenomenon series, highlighting Young-hee, the now famous giant animated doll from the no less famous game 1, 2, 3 sun in the company of a new little friend, Netflix Korea (Netflix Korea) published a post on X (formerly Twitter) and Youtube specifying the date of June 27, 2025.

Only for South Koreans?
Does this date, readable only in Korean, concern the putting online of season 3 of the program for subscribers around the world, only those in Asian countries, or even only South Koreans? We probably won't know or it will take a few weeks. But the little post has already made the rounds on the networks, generating both the most enthusiastic and the most doubtful prospects.
Everyone understood it. Planning a major launch on iconic dates is of some importance. Launching season 2, after three long years of waiting, just the day after Christmas, cannot just be a coincidence. Launching season 3 on June 27, on the eve of summer vacation for millions of schoolchildren, seems just as strategic.
The post, published this morning of January 2, was apparently very quickly deleted. It will nonetheless remain recorded on quite a few sites and in quite a few memories.
