A New Year's Eve night that ends in tragedy. During the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, a man stabbed several people in a hotel residence in the center of the Isola 2000 ski resort, in the Alpes-Maritimes, according to information from Nice-Matin, confirmed by Le Parisien.
In circumstances that have yet to be determined, around 2 a.m., a suspect stabbed three people. Two of the victims, including a minor, were “very seriously injured”, the Nice public prosecutor, Damien Martinelli, said during the day, cited by France 3 Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. He describes the attack as an “attempted homicide”.
The perpetrator of the attack, possibly drunk during his act, is on the run. He is actively sought by the police, but has been identified according to BFMTV. He would suffer from psychiatric disorders.
An investigation into attempted homicide has been opened and entrusted to the Puget-Théniers gendarmerie, the Nice public prosecutor confirms to Le Parisien.
