During his general policy declaration to the National Assembly, the Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko, made a new revelation which risks creating a lively controversy in Senegal.
He claimed that the official accommodation of the President of the National Assembly had been sold by the outgoing Macky Sall regime.

“The official accommodation of the President of the National Assembly (an asset in the public domain) was sold for 300 million CFA francs,” declared Ousmane Sonko, causing a shock wave. He added that the state will take back these homes and that those responsible for this sale will be held accountable.
This statement follows the previous controversy concerning the sale of the Reubeuss Prison and Correction under the old regime.
