An Azerbaijan Airlines plane crashed on Wednesday December 25 in Kazakhstan. The aircraft was flying between Baku, the Azerbaijani capital, and Grozny, capital of the Russian Caucasian republic of Chechnya. Ultimately, 29 people survived the crash, and 38 died.
In videos published by Russian media, we see the plane hit the ground, a gigantic fire immediately breaking out. Other images show the plane on the ground, partially charred, the front of the aircraft having been completely destroyed. After the crash, “the plane caught fire”, said the Kazakh Ministry of Emergency Situations, specifying that it had dispatched 150 rescuers to the scene.
Another video has made the rounds on the Internet. The incredible one of a man filming what he believes to be the last moments of his existence. In this sequence, we see a passenger filming the interior of the plane a few moments before the crash. The man, who recites prayers, assists helplessly at the situation. Warning messages are becoming more and more urgent from the flight attendants and oxygen masks have already fallen on top of certain passengers.
The video also shows the interior of the overturned plane. We see the passengers wondering about what happened. Eventually, the man will escape with a few minor scratches to his face.
The latter, who is one of the 29 survivors of the aircraft, then filmed another sequence, in which he shows the exterior of the damaged aircraft.
According to several experts, the Azerbaijan Airlines plane was hit by a missile from the Russian anti-aircraft defense system, based on the multiple fragments of missiles visible on the tail of the aircraft.
