The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Tuesday announced nominees in 10 Oscar categories for the 97th Academy Awards. Academy Awards.
The announcement includes films that are considered for the following categories: Documentary Feature Film, Documentary Short Film, Foreign Feature Film, Hair and Makeup, Music (Original Score), Music (Original Song), Animated Short Film, Action Short Film, Sound and Visual Effects.
Emilia Pérez, The Apprentice, Dune: Part Two, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Nosferatu, Wicked, Challengers, The Wild Robot, Gladiator II e Blitz are among the films nominated in several categories.
Fifteen films advanced to the next round of voting in the Foreign Feature Film category for the 97th Academy Awards. Among these Vermilion by Maura Delpero.
The vote for the 97th edition of the Oscar to 9 a.m. Pacific Time on Jan. 8 ends at 5pm Pacific Time on January 12th. Nominees will be announced on January 17. Final voting begins at 9am Pacific Time on February 11th and ends at 5pm Pacific Time on February 18th.
Conan O’Brien will hostthe 2025 Oscars ceremony which will be held on March 2. It will be broadcast live on ABC and in over 200 countries around the world.
Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan return as executive producers of the show, e Coats will also be the lo showrunner. Hamish Hamilton will be the director again.

Fifteen films advanced to the next round of voting in the Foreign Feature Film category for the 97th Academy Awards. Films from 85 countries and regions were eligible in this category.
Academy members from all categories were invited to participate in the preliminary round of voting and, in order to vote in the category, they must have met a minimum number of viewings.
In the nomination round, members of all sectors are invited to register to participate and, to vote, they must see all 15 films on the shortlist.

Ten films advance in the Makeup and Hairstyle categories for the 97th edition of the Academy Awards. All members of the Academy’s Makeup Artists and Hairstylists division will be invited to view clips featuring the artists from each of the shortlisted films on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Chamber members will vote to nominate five films for the final Oscar® award .
