Around 9:10 a.m. Monday, the police were called to go to a home located on Boulevard Louis-XIV, in order to assist the ambulance crews.

A 45-year-old woman was quickly pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was there.

The coroner has requested the opening of an investigation into this suspicious death, specifies the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ).

Nebulous circumstances

For the moment, the causes and circumstances of death have not been established. Murder, voluntary action, natural death: all hypotheses are on the table.

“Clues” suggest that the death could have been caused in a manner other than natural, specifies Laurence Godbout, spokesperson for the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ).

Command post
