After a reign of one year, Eve Gilles returned her crown on Saturday evening and ceded it to Angélique Angarni-Filoponour Miss France 2025. The latter who represented Martinique goes down in the history of the competition given her older age than that of her competitors. Indeed, for the first time a candidate is elected at 34 years old thanks to the regulations relaxed two years ago. Previously, the age limit was imposed at 25 years.
It is this subject which has caused the most talk since the coronation of Angélique Angarni-Filopon and which is already preventing her from running in another beauty election, that of Miss World. For good reason, the rules of the international election have not changed and the contenders for the title must still not be married or mothers to participate. They can also only be between 16 and 27 years old to register.
There remains one solution so that France is represented despite everything at this big meeting: for one of Angélique Angarni-Filopon's runners-up to appear in her place. Because let's remember that Miss France has four runners-up, the 4th is Miss Côte d'Azur, Lilou Emeline-Artuso, the 3rd is Miss Guadeloupe, Moïra André, the 2nd runner-up is Miss Corsica, Stella Vangioni. Finally, the one who inherited the position of 1st runner-up is Sabah Aïb, Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais.
Sabah Aïb volunteers to replace Miss France 2025
Asked about the question in Don't touch my post Monday, December 16, Sabah Aïb said she was ready to take on the challenge. “Is it true that you are going to do Miss World, as Miss France is too old for the competition, are you the one who will represent France?“, asked Guillaume Genton. And for the pretty 18-year-old blonde to answer: “I don't know yet if the information is true… If there is an age limit to Miss Universe or Miss World, I would have to check with the Miss France company and with the current Miss France, with her agreement of course. If she can't participate, if I have the chance and the opportunity, I will go“.
The young woman who had been the victim of criticism because of her origins was also delighted with her ranking during the ceremony. “I have recovered from my emotions these last few days. The evening went by very quickly, a lot of preparation… I am very happy to have brought this title back to Nord-Pas-de-Calais“.
