On December 10, 2024, the Regional Insurance Control Commission (CRCA) received a hearing in Libreville from a delegation from the SUNU Group led by Mr. Joël AMOUSSOU, Deputy Managing Director of SUNU Participations Holding SA, and issued a favorable opinion for the approval of the newly created reinsurance company of the SUNU Group: SUNU Réassurance, abbreviated SUNU Ré.
The creation of this limited company with a Board of Directors based in Abidjan, with a capital of five (05) billion CFA francs, is part of the development strategy of the SUNU Group to ensure optimal protection for all of its insurance subsidiaries.
During this session, the Commission also issued a favorable opinion for the approval of Mr. Roland OUEDRAOGO as General Director, and of Mr. Issofa NCHARE as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company.
An actuary by training, Roland OUEDRAOGO has held high-level managerial positions in different pan-African groups. Mr. Issofa NCHARE, is a retired international civil servant, former Secretary General of CIMA.
