The Regional Tourism Council (CRT) of Fez-Meknes hosted a workshop on Saturday with travel agents from Montpellier and its region, aimed at promoting the region’s tourism assets and strengthening bilateral partnerships. This strategic meeting made it possible to explore the diverse potential of Fez-Meknes, particularly in terms of cultural tourism, thermal spas and ecotourism.
During the 48-hour program, French participants visited iconic sites such as Fez, Meknes, Volubilis and the spa resort of Moulay Yacoub. The president of the CRT, Ahmed Sentissi, stressed the importance of such collaborations to develop air connectivity and attract more French tourists, thanks to partnerships with several airports, including Montpellier.
Thierry Vallon, international tourism expert, expressed his enthusiasm for the cultural and historical richness of the region, announcing the creation of new tourist circuits dedicated to Fez-Meknes. He encouraged the CRT to continue its efforts to position the region as an essential destination for European customers.
