The commune of Dioulacolon has just benefited from a significant gesture in favor of education. Dr El Hadji Omar Sané, political leader of Kolda, has just donated 1,200 textbooks to the colleges of Dioulacolon and Sinthiang Faraba.
The donation ceremony, marked by the presence of the deputy sub-prefect of Dioulacolon, was welcomed by the administrative authority. Speaking, El Hadji Djibril Fall, stressed that this initiative is part of the State’s vision aimed at building a quality school accessible to all.
Through this gesture, Dr Sané demonstrates that school is the business of the entire community. It makes a quality contribution which will undeniably improve the learning conditions of students,” according to the deputy sub-prefect. This exemplary initiative was also an opportunity for the authority to invite other people and organizations with the means to follow the example of Dr Sané.
The latter does not intend to stop there. During the ceremony, he announced his plan to actively contribute to the state policy aimed at eliminating temporary shelters in educational establishments in Fouladou.
Education is a priority for the development of Senegal, and initiatives like that of Dr Sané remind us that the involvement of local stakeholders is essential to achieve this common objective.
