Vast police operation in the northern district of Brussels deemed “particularly problematic”: 18 people arrested

Seventeen people were arrested administratively and one judicially during a large-scale police operation carried out on Sunday on a section of rue d’Aerschot, indicated the Brussels-North police zone (Schaerbeek, Evere, Saint-Josse -ten-Noode).

This perimeter is considered to be “particularly problematic” by the police, because he is particularly concerned by “criminal acts of violence and the sale of drugs.

This action, which mobilized nearly 120 police officers, is part of the police zone’s “Northern Quarter” action plan, which aims to further secure the neighborhood. A similar operation took place mid-November and also resulted in arrests.

“In parallel with this large-scale police operation, daily patrols and various security operations will continue”specified the Brussels-North police.
