“The Lost Truth” by the late Mustapha Alaoui, presented during a tribute in Rabat

A tribute was paid, Saturday in Rabat, to the late journalist Mustapha Alaoui, in commemoration of six decades of dedication to journalism, in the presence of an audience of media, political and cultural personalities.

During this ceremony, organized by the newspaper “Al Ousboue Assahafi”the participants highlighted the abundance of the late (1936-2019) writings, which made him one of the emblematic figures of the Moroccan press.

Referring to the remarkable role of Mustapha Alaoui in consolidating the foundations of journalism in Morocco, the speakers highlighted his dedication and commitment to defending freedom of expression throughout his career.

The late Mustapha Alaoui, founder of the newspaper “Al Ousboue Assahafi”was a journalism school and had consistently demonstrated a great ability to combine the art of writing and professional commitment, they said, emphasizing the need to preserve its media heritage and take advantage of its rich experiences.

This ceremony was also an opportunity to present his posthumous book “The Lost Truth”, first part (1970-1989), which brings together his articles published in newspapers “Al-Kawalis” et «Al Ousboue Assahafi».

This work offers an analytical vision in which the author explored chapters of the political and media history of Morocco. She also reveals certain aspects of the country’s modern history, reviewing her personal experiences as a journalist who lived through several key stages in the evolution of the Moroccan political landscape.
