Given the current epidemic context, marked by the active circulation of the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) in which is responsible for bronchiolitis in infants, and in anticipation of the arrival of winter epidemics, particularly flu and Covid, the Hospital Group of Armor Territory (GHT) has tightened the instructions for wearing a mask in all of its establishments.

The Armor GHT brings together the public hospitals of Saint-Brieuc, Paimpol, Tréguier, Guingamp, Lannion-Trestel and Penthièvre and Poudouvre (Lamballe / Quintin).

Thus, from Monday December 16, 2024, the instructions will be as follows: wearing a mask becomes compulsory for visitors and accompanying persons in the health sector (emergency services, medicine, surgery, maternity, medical rehabilitation care). It is recommended in nursing homes and the medico-social sector.

In the event of a cluster (three cases) of acute respiratory infections in nursing homes, wearing a mask is compulsory for everyone in the nursing home (professionals, visitors, accompanying persons, workers, residents leaving the room).

These recommendations are likely to be re-evaluated depending on developments in local and departmental epidemiology.
