After dysfunctions, the government decided in 2023 to reopen Infogreffe, which previously managed business registrations.
The government announced on Wednesday the end on December 31 of alternatives to the one-stop shop set up in 2023 to simplify procedures for businesses, affirming that the new platform, criticized at its beginnings, was now “functional”.
The “one-stop shop” of companies, which allows the creation of companies, modifications to their statutes or cessations of activity to be declared, has replaced the six business formalities centers (CFE) since January 1, 2023. After malfunctions in the platform, the government gave the green light in February 2023 to the reopening of the Infogreffe site of the commercial courts, which previously managed company registrations. This alternative had been extended until the end of 2024. “As the counter is now functional, this continuity procedure will end on December 31, 2024”indicates the Ministry of Economy and Finance in a press release, adding that “this solution is today a source of dysfunctions, particularly in the transfer of information to the National Business Register (RNE) or SIRENE”.
Bercy and the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), which operates the one-stop shop, specify that technical and ergonomic corrections have been made and that “significant improvements” will be implemented on a second version of the site by mid-2025. In 2024, four million procedures were submitted via the one-stop shop, including 1.4 million registration applications, 900,000 modification formalities, 500,000 cessation formalities and 800,000 annual account submissions, it is indicated.
