While the rapper is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl, he attended the premiere of Mufasa : The Roi Lion this December 9, alongside his wife Beyoncé and their daughter Blue Ivy Carter, aged 12.
They chose to stand together. While a complaint was filed this Sunday against Jay-Z for a rape of a teenage girl which allegedly occurred in 2000, the rapper and producer came to attend the premiere of Mufasa : The Roi Lion at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, surrounded by his wife Beyoncé and their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, aged 12. The 43-year-old singer and her daughter both lend their voices for the animated film.
For the occasion, the mother-daughter duo matched in gold-toned dresses. Beyoncé wore a strapless dress with a thigh-high slit and a plunging sweetheart neckline. Her 12-year-old daughter wore a bouffant strapless dress in gold lamé. The singer's mother, Tina Knowles, also walked the red carpet with her family.

And both parents seemed particularly proud of young Blue Ivy, who struck a solo pose on the red carpet for the very first time. While Jay-Z was seen wiping away a tear while watching his daughter pose, Beyoncé showed her immense pride on Instagram. “My beautiful baby girl. It's your evening. You worked hard and did such a great job (…) Your family couldn't be more proud. Keep shining,” she wrote.

This preview marked Jay-Z's first public outing since the rape complaint filed against him this Sunday, December 8. He is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl with rapper P. Diddy at a party after the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000.
Accusations which the 55-year-old rapper and producer defended himself against and which he described as “odious”. “I am heartbroken for my family. My wife and I will have to sit down our children, one of whom is at the age where his friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of the people,” a- he wrote in a press release.
