A few hours before being received at the Elysée, alongside the presidents of environmental groups in the Assembly and the Senate, Marine Tondelier showed her regret Monday morning that “France is stuck in endless discussions, all because the President of the Republic does not want to respect the result of the legislative elections”.
“We are a little disappointed”she added, before specifying:
“Last week we made an important gesture. I wrote an open letter to Emmanuel Macron. I wrote to all the party leaders of the Republican camp to tell them that in the extremely serious moment in which France was, we had to do things that we had never done (…) But Gabriel Attal was the only leader of decided not to answer me. »
Before going to the Elysée, the national secretary of environmentalists spoke of “the triptych” that she wishes to discuss with Mr. Macron: “The first is obviously to protect the most vulnerable, the working classes who have suffered from Emmanuel Macron's policies for seven years now. The second word is appease. And the third word, obviously, is preparing for the future. »
