(Keystone-ATS) In total, these institutions, from diplomatic missions to international organizations, including academic entities and NGOs, employ nearly 20,000 people. They have approved more than 1,000 initiatives in line with federal and local climate policies.
This effort achieves a reduction of 53,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent, or the annual emissions of 4,100 inhabitants in Switzerland. It involves more energy-efficient buildings, soft mobility, responsible food systems, the protection of biodiversity, sustainable technologies and even better waste management.
