Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has just landed in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he will meet President-elect Donald Trump in the evening.
Sources confirmed to - that the two politicians will discuss over dinner.
Mr. Trudeau’s trip to West Palm Beach comes four days after Mr. Trump’s shock announcement to impose 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico as soon as he takes office in January.
A trip organized at the last minute
The decision to organize an in-person meeting between the two leaders was taken on Thursday, according to information from -.
After participating in a press conference Friday afternoon in Mount Stewart, Prince Edward Island, Justin Trudeau returned to Ottawa aboard his plane.
This brief stopover allowed Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc to join Mr. Trudeau. Then, the plane left again, this time towards West Palm Beach, where Donald Trump’s main residence, Mar-a-Lago, is located.
