Olivier Caron admitted this week at the Longueuil courthouse that he was the head of a criminal organization that sold drugs in large quantities in greater Montreal.
The 33-year-old man even had his own plaque with his name, which read “Director of Operations”, we discover in documents presented to the court.

And for good reason: he supervised the transport of the tablets, the accounting, the production costs and the payment of salaries to his numerous accomplices, like a business manager.
Sales were made via boxes containing 25,000 tablets. In more than eight months of investigation, 1,144 boxes were seen to be tampered with. Once these are resold on the street, we are talking about tens of millions of dollars in profits for the traffickers.

The drug was produced and stored in several establishments in Montreal, Boucherville, Chambly, Yamachiche and Val-David.
“It should be noted that the organization was in constant motion, moving its pressing site several times during the investigation,” indicates a summary of the facts of the case, specifying that Caron was “systematically present during the multiple moves” .
Everything is falling apart
According to the investigation, no less than 17 people pitched in to ensure that everything was resolved quickly.
They had “financial means to carry out [leurs] operations in a tacit and apparently legal manner,” such as the use of a numbered company in the name of Caron, we read in a document.

But this was insufficient to thwart the police. Everything collapsed when around 280 police officers carried out a series of searches in May 2022.

“We are definitely talking about a small SME,” a police source at the QMI Agency mentioned at the time.
Combined with the seizures, more than 18 million methamphetamine and amphetamine pills have never been released to the public.
Heavy punishment
Several thousand dollars, drugs and two firearms were, among other things, found at Olivier Caron’s home.
Analyzes carried out by the authorities also revealed that the criminals were selling tablets containing a low concentration of the illicit substance.

“It was thus a way of increasing the profits generated by the criminal activities in question,” we can read.
The finances of the organization were also recorded in notebooks entitled “Material and Pay Company Account Keeping” or “MTL Bookkeeping”.
Given the seriousness of Caron’s crimes, the parties presented a joint suggestion of 10 years in prison to the court, which could subsequently ratify it.
Other accomplices of the trafficker admitted their wrongdoing in court, including Jamil El Najjar, Dominic Boulanger and Giancarlo Morgia, Caron’s closest collaborators.
