Garmin connected watches: which smartwatch model to choose in 2024?

For the December 2024 update, the firm started a little early. At the end of November, it published a PDF file with the various new products to come for its entire range.

Concretely, there are five new features planned for the month of December on the American manufacturer's watches and GPS meters:

  • Garmin Coach workout plans for strength training;
  • improvements in training execution score;
  • automatic detection of the lactate threshold;
  • automatic detection of power at functional threshold (FTP);
  • meditation activity.

Some of these new features had already been the subject of dedicated announcements or beta tests. This is particularly the case for training plans for bodybuilding or detecting the lactate threshold without a cardio belt. The same goes for meditation exercises which are now expanding to more Garmin watches.
