Faced with the “growing challenges” of the development of online administration, the Vaud State Council is creating an Office for Digital Transformation and Administration Support (ONA). Its objective: to “effectively pilot” the digital transformation (engaged since 2012 with the e-VD strategy) and “to have a clear organization in this area”, announced the State of Vaud this Thursday.
This new entity will see the light of day on January 1. This is not an expansion of the State: the ONA simply constitutes an “evolution” of the current Organizational and Management Advice and Support Unit (UCA). It will also take over the entire budget, teams and resources. The position of head or head of office will be put out to competition soon, the press release further indicates.
Attached to the General Secretariat of the Department of Culture, Infrastructure and Human Resources (DCIRH), in the hands of Nuria Gorrite, the ONA will notably have the mission of proposing “objectives and a five-year action plan” in order to guarantee the “transversality, efficiency and usability” of digital services for Vaudois citizens.
