There may not be any sex toys in Montreux, but there will be people. The most famous of French-speaking Christmas markets, which this year extends from Vevey to Villeneuve, opens its doors this Thursday. Like every year, getting there by car will put visitors’ nerves to the test. This is why the public transport offer will be strengthened. On weekends, VMCV bus lines will be free from 1 p.m. until the end of the service. For cars, however, six large parking lots will be available, at the exit of the motorway access points. Price: 8 fr. per vehicle. Please note that in downtown Montreux, the Grand-Rue may be closed to traffic.
