In a press release sent during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the MR of Walloon Brabant announces that the 2024-2030 majority pact for the Province has been tabled. The MR-Engagés coalition is confirmed. Contrary to what the Engagés had announced a few days ago via a press release, there will not be two Engagés provincial deputies and two MRs in the future college of Walloon Brabant, but three MR deputies and one Engagés.
Tanguy Stuckens (MR) will remain president of the provincial college of Walloon Brabant, and his co-list Sophie Keymolen is also back. They are joined in the executive by the outgoing mayor of La Hulpe, Christophe Dister. The provincial deputy of the Engagés is Benjamin Goes.

On November 14, the Engagés announced that Maha Karim-Hosselet would be their party’s second provincial deputy. It won’t happen. “Maha Karim-Hosselet will have a strategic role by chairing the economic intercommunal association of Walloon Brabant (InBW). The MR will chair the intermunicipal social association of Walloon Brabant (ISBW),” indicates the press release from the MR Walloon Brabant.
Cédric du Monceau de Bergendael (Les Engagés) will chair the provincial council during the first part of the legislature, before handing over to Olivier Vanham (Les Engagés).
“The agreement gives a new boost to vitality, proximity and efficiency at the provincial level, in line with community and regional political declarations. It ensures coherence and effectiveness of political actions in the service of the 27 municipalities, the specificities of the territory and for the benefit of Brabant citizens, in a logic of supracommunality (…) Both parties are delighted with the final outcome of the negotiations and are determined to work with mutual respect”, further indicates the press release from the Walloon Brabant MR.
