This project consists of the installation of a monobloc brackish water demineralization stationwith a capacity of 30 liters per second, the equivalent of 2,600 cubic meters per day. THE water treatment is based on reverse osmosis technology, which provides high quality treated water, while respecting the environment.
On this occasion, Mohamed El QebbajProvincial Director of Berrechid at the SRM Casablanca-Settatdeclared: “this station is one of the nine monobloc stations demineralization andbrackish water esalination planned at the level of the province of Berrechid, as part of the program launched by the Ministry of the Interior. A program which plans, in fact, the creation of 33 similar stations on the scale of the Casablanca-Settat regionwith a total flow rate produced is 255 liters per second”.
This project, financed by the Ministry of the Interior, is part of the efforts made to deal with the situation of water stress. It allows the treatment of brackish waterin order to use them for drinking water supplythus meeting the growing needs for this vital resource.
The inauguration of this new station took place in the presence of governor of the province of Berrechidof the local authoritiesas well as provincial director of Berrechid of the SRM Casablanca-Settat and representatives of regional society.
