A new complaint, for sexual assault, was filed Monday in Saint-Etienne against the singer Slimane, the city’s prosecutor’s office told AFP on Tuesday. The “Mon amour” singer is already the subject of an investigation following accusations of sexual harassment.

This second complaint “was filed in the name of a technician from the show organized on December 17 at the Zénith in Saint-Etienne,” said the plaintiff’s lawyer, Anne-Sophie Charrieras, confirming information from the newspaper Le Parisien.

The acts alleged against the artist occurred “at the end of the concert, in the presence of several witnesses whose list is attached to the complaint”, and who, for some, filmed the scene, according to the lawyer.

“Slimane’s brother intervened to put an end to the sexual assault and ask the witnesses to delete the recordings made using their smartphones,” she assures, without giving details.

Mr. Charrieras also represents another tour technician who filed a complaint on October 28 for sexual harassment against the singer, claiming to have received, during the same evening, messages and videos of a pornographic nature.

The first complainant was heard on Monday by the judicial police as part of the preliminary investigation opened by the Saint-Etienne public prosecutor’s office after his complaint. Me Charrieras indicates that his clients “do not wish to be publicized” and “consider themselves as whistleblowers so that these facts stop on the part of Slimane”.

Slimane, 35, is on tour for his “Cupid tour”. In May, he took fourth place in Eurovision with his song “Mon amour”. Revealed by The Voice on TF1 which he won in 2016, he was at the top, during his duo with the singer Vitaa, in the album sales ranking in in 2020 with their opus “Versus”.
