The House of Representatives gave the green light this Friday evening to finance bill No. 60.24 for the 2025 financial year, adopting this text by a majority with 171 votes for, 56 against and one abstention.

The plenary session devoted to the examination and vote of the PLF 2025 was chaired this Friday, November 15, 2024 by Rachid Talbi El Alami, President of the House of Representatives, in the presence of a good number of ministers and deputies.

This session which has just ended was marked by in-depth discussions, where the government highlighted the broad outlines of the proposed financial measures, in particular the priority areas in terms of investment, employment and the strengthening of social services.

Although some MPs expressed opposition, arguing that certain provisions could compromise the balance between economic growth and social protection, the parliamentary majority affirmed its determination to support the project. They underlined the crucial importance of this law in catalyzing the national economy in a challenging economic context.

Thus, the PLF 2025 was adopted by 171 votes, 56 against and one abstention. It should be noted that 532 amendments were presented by the Government, as well as by the various Groups and Groupings, both from the majority and the opposition, and the two unrelated MPs.

It should also be remembered that the first part of this project was adopted during the plenary session held this Thursday in the House of Representatives, a session which lasted 10 hours, until the early hours of Friday.
