“Morocco concretizes its solidarity” with the Spaniards, according to Karima Benyaich – Telquel.ma

SFollowing the floods which ravaged several regions of Spain, King Mohammed VI gave instructions to the Minister of the Interior to speak by telephone with his Spanish counterpart and inform him of Morocco’s full readiness to dispatch rescue teams and to provide all the necessary assistance to Spain to deal with this natural disaster.

Thus, an exceptional Moroccan convoy, mobilizing 24 pumper trucks and 70 operators, arrived in Spain on Wednesday to support relief efforts and come to the aid of the Valencia region, seriously affected by storm Dana.

This support testifies to the firm determination of the Kingdom of Morocco to actively contribute to relief efforts in a spirit of mutual assistance and fraternity with Spain, Karima Benyaich indicated in a statement to MAP.

Through this royal commitment, Morocco reaffirms its immutable attachment to the values ​​of respect, friendship and active solidarity which constitute the very essence of the deep ties uniting the two nations, underlined the diplomat.

Benyaich also recalled that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad had also immediately mobilized to come to the aid of Moroccans residing in areas affected by the floods.

For the Moroccan diplomat, the surge of national solidarity with Spain was echoed in the ranks of the Moroccan community established in Spain, which reacted with exemplary mobilization to participate in relief operations in the disaster regions.

Benyaich took the opportunity to salute the Moroccan associations and the numerous volunteers whose concrete help and manifest solidarity cement the bonds of fraternity uniting the Moroccan and Spanish people.
