FIFA has unveiled the official trophy for the new Club World Cup, which will be awarded for the first time in a few months. The competition will take place in June and July 2025 across 12 stadiums across 11 US cities, with the final scheduled for MetLife Stadium in New York – New Jersey on July 13.
The trophy was designed by FIFA in partnership with luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co. Gianni Infantino, FIFA President, expressed his enthusiasm: “Innovative, inclusive and revolutionary, this 32-team Club World Cup deserves a trophy in his image: golden, prestigious, timeless, symbolizing both the future and a tribute to the past. The players who lift this trophy will carry the world of club football in their hands.
Covered in fine 24-carat gold, the trophy features laser engravings depicting the history of football. It includes a world map, the names of the 211 FIFA member associations and the six confederations. The central disc bears symbols linked to football traditions, such as stadiums and equipment.
Inclusive and universal, the trophy has inscriptions in 13 languages and Braille. A blank section is planned to include the emblems of future winners, up to the next 24 editions. As a tribute to explorers and astronomy, it incorporates celestial symbols, representing the approximate position of the planets at the creation of FIFA, on May 21, 1904, as well as the date of the opening match of the competition, on June 15, 2025 in Miami.
The winning clubs will receive a replica of the trophy, marked with inscriptions commemorating their victory. The trophy will be revealed on December 5, 2024, during the competition draw in Miami.
