The region indicated, in a press release, that the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region has affixed his visa to the 2025 budget of the region, in accordance with the provisions of organic law No. 111.14 relating to the regions.
According to the same source, the region’s overall budget amounts to more than 1.4 billion dirhams, including an envelope of 1.2 billion dirhams devoted to equipment, in line with the objectives set out within the framework of the Regional Development Program 2022- 2027 and taking into account certain urgent and exceptional infrastructure projects.
This budget covers important sectors, including infrastructure and mobility, with a cost of 385 million dirhams (MDH), investment and employment (158 MDH), health, education and training (69 MDH). ), rural development (45.6 million dirhams), as well as water and the environment (38.5 million dirhams).
In addition, an amount of 354 MDH was allocated for the repayment of previous debts, including 150 MDH programmed under the 2025 budget for early repayment of debts with high interest rates.
It should be recalled that the Council of the Casablanca-Settat region had approved this budget during its ordinary session held on Monday October 7, 2024 at the headquarters of the prefecture of Mohammedia, under the chairmanship of the president of the Council of the region, Abdellatif Maâzouz, and in the presence of the Wali of the region, Mohamed Mhidia, and the governor of the prefecture of Mohammedia, Hicham M’daghri Alaoui.
