An accident involving two army trucks caused major disruptions Tuesday morning on the A9 motorway between Sion and Sierre. There were no injuries, but a tank that was towed on a trailer had to be repositioned correctly.

A 50-ton crane is being transported to reinstall this tank, which moved during the collision between the two trucks but without falling on the road, indicates a spokesperson for the Valais police, contacted by Keystone-ATS.

She adds that the intervention could last “several hours” and that the highway between Sion-Ouest and Sierre-Ouest is closed.
