Combining Reggada and modern, daring vibes, this captivating music from the eastern regions of Morocco takes us on an exceptional musical and cultural journey. Always driven by the desire to preserve the rich Moroccan musical heritage, Kamar is constantly committed to rediscovering, reinventing and sharing the variety of these sounds. Composed by Ahmed Azhar, with significant contribution from Kamar on lyrics and composition, “LIL” captures the essence of night, a moment of solitude, introspection, but also hope and resurrection. In poetic verses, Kamar immerses his audience in an exploration of the dilemmas and aspirations of Moroccan youth, between suffering and liberation, past and future.
The song was recorded as part of the Tremplin22 fusion category L’Boulevard where Kamar won 2nd prize. Kamar Mansour is an artist who has been passionate about art since a young age and raised by a mother who encouraged her musical talents. After winning the first prize with her sister Yousra in the group “Rock & Roses” at the “Jawhara” festival in 2011, Kamar participated in “X-Factor Arab” and then continued her career as a cover singer until in 2018. She was then auditioned for “The Voice Arab” and revealed herself to the general public. Accompanied by talented musicians, Kamar devoted herself to creating her own music, influenced by rock, blues and pop.
However, to preserve its cultural identity, it decided to immerse itself in the richness of its tradition and heritage, which resulted in the creation of a project that combines tradition and modernity. The fruit of his reflection is the creation of several titles, including “Zad Sqami” and “Holm”. She also includes “Ya L’Bnyia” released in 2024. Through this song sung in Darija and Amazigh, the artist offers a “powerful musical manifesto” addressing the problems and suffering encountered by women in our society. Once again, Kamar Mansour is a promising artist who continues to push the boundaries of musical expression.
