The Best Profil company has obtained the precious key: the General Tax Directorate (DGI) awards it the status of category A taxpayer, after nearly 6 months of audit and account verification procedures. The status is valid for two years. “We were categorized A, the best grade that can be given to a company”Tarik Lamrani, general director of Best Profil, proudly declares to us. This categorization program is attracting more and more companies; at the end of 2020, 225 companies were labeled by the tax authorities.
What tax advantages?
Categorized companies benefit from several tax advantages, such as the reimbursement of VAT without prior control, the exemption from certification of checks for the payment of VAT, but also the priority of the processing of disputes subject to the assessment of the administration, and the list goes on. “In the event of an inspection, the administration will be benevolent in its treatment as cited in the agreement”, the company’s CEO tells us.
For Tarik Lamrani, This tax categorization makes it possible, first of all, to demonstrate that the company is reliable vis-à-vis third parties, banks, insurance companies and customers.
“We wanted to go against the grain. Even towards candidates, we want to convey the idea that it is not just multinationals, there are also SMEs like ours, which do their job well. specifies Tarik Lamrani.
The DGI has set up this voluntary tax compliance incentive system. This aims to improve the business environment, simplify procedures and consolidate the relationship of trust and transparency with the taxpayer.
A business from father to son
“We are not the typical profile of companies that can be categorized since we are a family business that has grown a lot,” confides Tarik Lamrani.
Indeed, in 1996, the father, the late Zahir Lamrani, founded this family business, which has grown and strengthened over the years. Adil Lamrani joined the company in 2003 and took charge of the recruitment part. In 2008, Tarik Lamrani, who today heads the interim part.
Best Profil has a network of agencies located throughout Morocco, with 60 permanent employees. The service company specializes in temporary work and recruitment. “We paid between 12,000 and 15,000 employees per month”specifies the CEO of the company.
The company is ISO certified and benefits from the compliance of the CNDP (National Commission for the Control of the Protection of Personal Data) concerning the protection of personal data and SMETA certification on international CSR. The company’s preferred sectors are hotels, agri-food, construction, banking and insurance.
