As the end-of-year holidays approach, some seniors feel loneliness and isolation. For the first time, Pro Senectute Vaud and the City of Nyon are joining forces to organize a friendly and festive meal, offering these people the opportunity to come together and share a warm moment in a welcoming atmosphere.
The meal will take place on Tuesday, December 24, at 11:30 a.m., in the Nyon community hall which will be decorated for the occasion. A financial contribution of 30 francs will be requested from participants. It will include the starter, main course, dessert and drinks.
A team of 20 volunteers is dedicated to the organization and preparation of this event, whether to create the decorations or for the service on the big day. Everything is planned so that the participants feel at home. the house. The meal will be entirely prepared by the kitchen team, well accustomed to the catering sector.
This service is part of the Christmas Tables offered by Pro Senectute Vaud. Individuals welcome seniors into their homes between Saturday December 16 and Thursday December 26, 2024 to share the holiday spirit.
