During a distinguished event organized by the Moroccan Association of Medical Sciences, on Saturday November 9, 2024 in the city of Casablanca, in the presence of ministers and high-level officials, the spirit of the late Professor Mohamed Al-Dakhisi, deceased while fulfilling his humanitarian and medical duty during the Covid-19 pandemic, was honored.
This annual event during which the association recalled the qualities of the deceased and his great contributions in the field of training of doctors and in the field of public health.
Science Day activities included words of gratitude to the late professors and practitioners, where a video was shown documenting his distinguished professional and humanitarian journey. The meeting also took place in the presence of several deans of the faculties of medicine and pharmacy from different Moroccan cities, in addition to directors of university hospitals, doctors and members of the family of the deceased, who received souvenirs in honor of his career.
Among the most notable aspects of this scientific event, two important agreements were signed between the Moroccan Association of Medical Sciences and the faculties of medicine and pharmacy of Oujda and Marrakech. These partnerships aim to improve the training of assistant professors and resident and intern doctors, which contributes to raising the level of health services provided to patients and increasing professional efficiency in different university hospitals.
A partnership agreement was also signed between the association and the National Monitoring Committee for the Protection of Personal Data, which aims to strengthen the protection of patient health data and ensure that it is not illegally exploited, which demonstrates the association’s commitment to protecting the privacy of citizens in the field of health.
As part of the celebration of this day, ways to reduce the financial burdens borne by patients in obtaining treatment were discussed, especially with regard to treatment protocols approved by the Ministry of Health. The importance of reviewing the national reference rate was highlighted to guarantee citizens’ access to diagnostic and treatment services, in addition to appealing to social funds to compensate for the drugs included in the treatment protocols.
This scientific meeting, which brought together the most eminent actors in the health sector in Morocco, represents an important step towards strengthening cooperation between the different health and educational institutions, and achieving tangible development in the level of services. medical services provided to citizens.
