The former Minister of Justice, Me Elhadji Amadou Sall, presented this Sunday, November 10 on Sud FM the major axes of the program of the Takku Wallu Senegal coalition for the legislative elections on November 17.
In an interview with the program “Objection”, the tenor of the bar detailed a series of ambitious institutional reforms, particularly in the judicial field. At the heart of the proposals: an overhaul of representation within judicial bodies, the opening of positions of responsibility to competition, and a limitation of the irremovability of magistrates to five years.
The modernization of the State is also among the priorities, with particular emphasis on the digitalization of services and the strengthening of parliamentary expertise. Me Sall notably proposes the reintroduction of parliamentary assistants to provide deputies with an administration and technical expertise commensurate with their missions.
On the ground, the coalition favors a “proximity campaign” breaking with traditional political caravans. “This election will be won by the ability to go see people at home, to talk to them, to explain to them,” underlined the former minister.
Takku Wallu, which brings together several opposition forces, has already forged strategic alliances in several departments, notably in Dakar and Guédiawaye, with a view to the election.
