Two days after the attack on Israeli supporters in the Netherlands, where are the legal proceedings? Of the 62 people arrested, around ten individuals are still in detention. They should be tried quickly, according to the authorities.
Returning home, welcomed at Tel Aviv airport by their loved ones, Israeli supporters, who were evacuated from Amsterdam on Friday November 8, remain very marked by the ultra-violent attacks of which they were the target the day before . “When we arrived in the city center after the match, we saw Muslims who were looking for Jews to attack,” explains a young man. Many feel they have not been sufficiently protected.
However, a major security system had been deployed to ensure the smooth running of a high-tension match. All day long, pro-Palestinian demonstrators and Israeli supporters increased their provocations. The latter also chanted anti-Arab songs and took down Palestinian flags from the windows. After the meeting, the situation completely degenerated. Israeli fans were then chased through the city and beaten.
