An inmate, who managed to escape from the Archambault Institution in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, is the subject of a wanted notice from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) for escape from legal custody .
Martin Éthier, 48, left the walls of his minimum security unit around 7 p.m. Friday. The latter was serving a sentence of two years and nine months for several offenses, including break and enter, theft, possession and trafficking of drugs as well as fraud.
The individual, who would be located in the Montée Gibson area of Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, would be traveling on foot and could try to request a means of transportation. He could also be in Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs.
The inmate is 170 cm tall and weighs 61 kg. He has a pale complexion, brown eyes and gray hair.
He was last seen wearing a dark-colored, long-sleeved sweater and jeans-style pants.
